It's back to the university for my son. His schedule is so tight, that for lunch he gets to walk from one building to another one while eating. He has to do that in under 10 minutes.
Have you ever wondered what those stubby legs look like up close? I accidentally captured the pseudopods today in a photograph. This is a close-up photograph of the pseudopods on a monarch caterpillar. Earlier today I took these photographs in my garden. The caterpillars shown here are, as far as I can tell, Black Swallowtail. The plants they are feeding on is fennel. I don't mind, I got the fennel for half price and I had been wondering what I was going to do with it.
Swallowtail caterpillars are eating my fennel! I took a few pictures of them and one turned out nice enough for wallpaper, actually another one is just as nice, but for now or for always, I have made wallpaper with just one on the photos. ...
