This step takes place at the Data Worksheet and the individual student Data# worksheets that are named Data1, Data2, Data3 and Data4. On this page I will briefly go over which cells need to be filled in at DATA. Data is a very simple worksheet to fill, but if you need to read more than this page, please also read Data.
The High School data worksheet is a little different, so if you are looking for information about the High School V Planner Data sheet go to: High School V Planner Data Worksheet.
Your Information and the Personal Calendar
INFO- Your first name and your birthday is used at the Today worksheet.
First fill in your first name or nick-name – it needs to be a short name, not your first and last name, just your first name or your nickname.
At “Your Birthday”, enter your birthday – the month and day is enough – like this: 03/16.
Optional Information for Transcripts
The upper part of the Data worksheet asks for information that will appear on the Transcripts and that information is:
- parent name
- street address
- school name
- phone number
Filling in this information is optional, however; if it is not filled in, parts of the upper part of the transcripts will be blank and that is okay. Blank rows may be hidden so that the empty space will not appear on the printed copies.
The Calendar Date
INFO- This particular calendar is not the school calendar.
The V Planner includes a personal calendar and the date for this calendar is set at the Data worksheet. I have a suggestion regarding the date and you can read it at the Data worksheet. You do not have to follow my suggestion.
V Planner supports record keeping for up to four children and the basic information is entered at the Data worksheet, but from this point on, information for each child is entered at the numbered Data worksheets. At Student Information on this Data worksheet, enter each child’s first name and last name and grade. A space is provided for the child’s birthday. The birth date is sent to the Transcript and you do not have to enter the birth date. The least information required is the first name and the grade.
You are Ready to Leave the Data Worksheet
Just under the student information, formulas will point you to the Data# for each student. Pick one and fill it out and then move to the next Data# worksheet. You will know which child the Data# worksheet should be setup for because each Data# worksheet that is in use will display the child’s name at the top of the worksheet.
The set-up at the numbered Data worksheets (Data#) is more involved, yet it’s not hard to fill in. You’ll need to answer a couple of questions, then enter some details about the school year for the student.
