Last Monday I completed a group of web pages that I had set out to do days before. I finished my work and it took several 14-hour days and all night Sunday. That was okay with me because this is all self-imposed work, and, yay me, I finished it.

Donna and her Dumbbells
Later the same day, I joined a few online friends in an Arm Workout. Two other friends, the ones who decided NOT to join, were in virtual aghast at the thought of lifting dumbbells.
I’m making this part up because I am picking on them.
I sent the Arm Workout Women more exercises to do. I’m bossy that way or really nice … it just depends on your perspective. The four exercises in the linked workout, while they are good ones, were just not enough for me and I wanted to engage the others in a more rigorous arm workout. Besides, it wouldn’t be fair to them if they were doing only four exercises while I was doing sixteen.
Tuesday, I was saddened to learn of the devastating fire that was raging in Black Forest, CO.
Midweek, one of the Arm Workout Women linked us up with the Plank Exercise. Oh Man, if you’ve never tried this, you should. The Two continue to be in virtual aghast.
An online friend and I are making the Bombshell Swimsuit. The sewalong begins today. I’m not sure if I will have time to actively participate, but I will make it a point to check the sewalong page at least once today, and once tomorrow, and once the next day, and so forth.

Fabric for Swimsuit – Poly and Spandex
Thursday my daughter and I went hunting for fabric. NO store in the town where I happily reside carries swimsuit fabric. In the past, bolts and bolts of swimsuit fabrics have entered these town borders and made it all the way into fabric stores, I know this because I’ve sewn swimsuits before and with fabric purchased in this town. Resigned to the current reality of No Local Swimsuit Fabric, I drove to Joann’s in the next town and there I found a lonesome few bolts, it was sad, of mostly solid colors, mostly shiny. I ended up with red shiny fabric. I can handle red; I have reservations about shiny.
Donna, how fun! A real, fun, chatty blog post and it’s funny too!!
You are not bossy. You are very nice. I look forward to joining in the arm challenge when I return and I’ll probably do more than 4 exercises, but less than 16. I will have to try the planking before I decide, but if Applie can do it, then so can I :).
I have never considered sewing a bathing suit. But that pattern that you all linked to was pretty cute. Can’t wait to see them.
I am aghast….simply aghast!
I was not so much aghast at the idea of lifting dumbbells (although I did decline your generous offer to do that), I was aghast at the idea of measuring my body parts and posting them online. LOL.
You are the best, The Donna. Thanks for linking up!
