Yes, sweet potatoes bloom, but so much that they make a good display. This sweet potato is “Beauregard.” The flower resembles a morning glory because sweet potatoes and morning glories are in the same family.

I never saw sweet potato blooms until this year. My cousin grew some and they have beautiful blooms. While growing up, we always planted sweet potatoes and they never bloomed. Do all varities bloom?
