The data on this page will help you fill your blank calendar. In two short lists, you will find out what day of the week starts each month, which months will need a 6th calendar row, if it is a leap year, and typical USA federal holiday dates.

The Year 2017

January starts on Sunday.
February starts on Wednesday.
March starts on Wednesday.
April starts on Saturday.
May starts on Monday.
June starts on Thursday.
July starts on Saturday.
August starts on Tuesday.
September starts on Friday.
October starts on Sunday.
November starts on Wednesday.
December starts on Friday.

The months that require a 6th calendar row are April, July, December.

USA Federal Holidays for the Year 2017

**New Year's Day is on Sunday, 01/01/2017.
Martin Luther King, JR. Day is on Monday, 01/16/2017.
President's Day is on Monday, 02/20/2017.
Easter is on Sunday, 04/16/2017.
Memorial Day is on Monday, 05/29/2017.
Independence Day is on Tuesday, 07/04/2017.
Labor Day is on Monday, 09/04/2017.
Columbus Day is on Monday, 10/09/2017.
**Veterans Day is on Saturday, 11/11/2017.
Thanksgiving is on Thursday, 11/23/2017.
Christmas is on Monday, 12/25/2017.

**Because they land on a weekend, the holidays that are marked with asterisks are not necessarily the actual "day off from work" date. The day off from work date is usually moved to either Friday or Monday.
