Green Beans and Potatoes

  • 1 15 ounce can French cut green beans
  • 1 15 ounce can sliced potatoes, do not drain
  • 2 Tablespoons butter
  • black pepper


Pour out 1/2 of the water from the can of green beans, replace with fresh tap water. This prevents it from being too salty.

Pour the green beans and the potatoes into a sauce pan. Add the butter. Bring to a boil, simmer vigorously until most of the liquid is gone. Pepper to taste.

Please note:
The canned potatoes can be substituted with 2 or 3 medium potatoes, peeled and sliced (or quartered). Also, the canned green beans can be substituted with frozen or fresh green green beans.
